As I mentioned in the last post, I follow LOTS of quilting blogs. Zig Zag quilts were everywhere. I fell in love with them, but most are made using triangles. And to be honest, triangles scare me a little (still do kinda, but I am getting over it, lol!) So at that time, a triangle Zig Zag quilt would just have to wait. Until I found
this tutorial and
this one also! The light bulb flashed on, the god's sang "Ahhhhhh" from above and I knew a Zig Zag quilt was in my very near future.
I am not sure how I came up with this color combination, but I love it! So calm and so relaxing! This quilt was a Christmas present for my mother-in-law.

| This is the quilt all laid out on our guest bed. You can kinda see each square with half white and half color/print. |
 |
| Another view of it laid out. This bed is a queen, but when it was all sewn together, it was much smaller than a queen. |
 |
| The final product. It just makes me smile! |
 |
| The back. I love what the pieced line adds to the back. |
 |
| The solid backing is a pale mint green color. |

| A close up of the back. The pieced part is made of leftover pieces from the front. I quilted about 1/2 in on each side of the zig zag. |
